Foster Homes Are Needed Now
We need temporary and/or emergency homes for retired ex-racers until they find their forever homes.
Fostering with GPA-Tampa Bay includes the following:
Crate (if needed)
Martingale collar and lead
Harness if needed
Food
All medical care & vet care for the greyhound while in your home (must use our vets)
All medications: Frontline, Advantage and heartworm meds
When you become a foster home, we will also provide your own personal pets with monthly heartworm and monthly flea protection. (We use Ivomec; some breeds do not tolerate Ivomec — in that case we would not be able to supply the heartworm medication.)
Your responsiblity as a foster home:
You must bring the greyhound to one of the "Meet & Greets" to get the medication once a month
When needed, the greyhound will need to be at the closest "Meet & Greet" to meet an applicant
Follow the GPA foster home agreement, which will be given at the time of placement
